I waited until this one arrived before returning the Panasonic EV2510K Easy Reach Roller and Point Hand Held Massager because it was to bulky and cumbersome for me to easily use and, although I suppose they are all noisy, the sound of it was irritating. I like this one much better. First of all, being cordless, it is much easier to position wherever I want it. I guess the reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the business with the "gel pad" in the description. The gel pad insert on the grip is just strange and, IMHO, not totally necessary; if they really thought it was a good idea, it could have been designed better. The gel pad massage head is nice enough, but it could/should actually be a little "gellier." The thing still bounces when it hits a bone.
But, overall, for my purposes, this works fine. I wake up almost every night around 2 or 3 a.m. with severe pain in my right shoulder from a torn rotator cuff as well as pain down my arm from disk compression in my neck. This is the only thing I have found to alleviate this pain enough so MAYBE I can get back to sleep ... by no means assured. After reading reviews of various other massagers, I think that as others review this particular product, they may complain about the strength of the percussion or the length of time it runs before needing to be recharged, but I do not need a killer machine, the low setting on this one is strong enough for me, and I only need to run it for twenty minutes max, which comes nowhere near to challenging the battery capacity. Oh, and the instructions say you can use it on your neck, but be careful that it does not rattle your teeth in the process. -- Keeping this one
This has been an excellent way to massage my feet. I have diabetic neuropathy which can be painful in addition to muscle atrophy in an ankle that was shattered many years ago. This massager helps to ease the pain. -- Dr. Scholl's Percussion Massager with Gel
