I bought this after the recommendation from my sister. It works very well after my weekend basketball game. -- good massager
I had one of the older Homedics massagers and it was incredible. It saw me through back therapy and gave me relief when nothing else would. I used it for 9 years which is an amazing life for a massager. I am so sad that it finally burnt out. I bought one of these at Bed, Bath and Beyond the other day. It wont fit into the carry case I had for the other one. Weird shape and the balls are spaced out too far between. I could rest the other one on my neck and it would massage both sides without any trouble and this one doesn't work that way. One of the balls doesn't touch the side of my neck. I called Homedics and told them that the reviews were not great on this item and asked why they discontinued the other models and all I got was, I guess it's just a marketing decision. I told them it was a poor decision. I would rather pay the 50 than 30 for something not near as good. Only 2 speeds. Please. I had about 8 on the other. I guess it will have to do. Don't have much choice. They will no longer make the others. They are not just out of stock. They are out of here. You can find some others made by a different company but it was 179.99 No thanks. I don't need it that bad. I'm not saying this doesn't work well. Just saying, it could be better. -- Pales in comparison
This is the best home massager. If you have Fibromylagia this is the greatest. It's heated. You can hold it or lay down and rest it against your body. It loosens the skin so it doesn't feel so tight and invigorates you. A must have! -- Massage Anywhere
Works great! Only complaint is that when the heat is on, sometimes it gets too hot for comfort, and it's not adjustable. Would definitely recommend to a friend. -- More good than bad.
The Homedics HHP-300 Extendable Percussion Massager is a FAR inferior product to the previous percussion massager by Homedics that I owned for many years. I have had this product for less than a month and believe that it has numerous design flaws in addition to the fact that the motor already sounds like it is on its last leg...Can you say "Planned Obsolescence?" This thing is made to go obsolete.
Some of the flaws are: (1) The head design may look modern (a bit like E.T.) but, as you move it over your body it catches your skin in areas such as in the crook of your arm, your armpit, behind your knee, or under your chin, and hurts like @#$%^! No, I am not obese with folds of skin that need to be avoided when utilizing this device. (2) The two percussion heads are recessed deeper into the machine body than the previous model so that they don't massage your muscles as deeply, plus the heads are too far apart. (3)The stupid "extendable arm" has sharp edges that cut skin plus it, too, appears not to be of sturdy construction, i.e. its made to fall apart. I have lupus and suffer from muscular pain and violent headaches which the previous model alleviated quite well. This model does not do that for me.
Also, Not a fan of buying electronic devices online through Amazon.com. I wanted to return it after the first use when it arrived but noted that I can only return an item that HAS NOT BEEN USED! Why the @#$%^ do they think I purchased it online? To save money AND to get quality merchandise that can be returned if not satisfactory! Walmart is where I will be purchasing items like this from now on! -- Not as good as previous model!
