I have owned many massagers over the years this one is very solidly made and the cord is a better cord than most. The cord is usually the first thing to go. The high speed is powerful enough to get into the muscle tissue in my calves and I love that. I just wish it had a third attachment with a double nib on it. I love the shape of the item as it is very easy to get to the middle of my back. Overall I would buy another if I ever have need again. -- Solidly made

After many years my dual headed Homedics massager died on me. When I popped in to Amazon to buy a replacement, I plugged in Homedics Massager and this was one of the items that appeared... which I am glad about now. The 4 star rating got me to look at this more. And I purchased it. And I like it. It is not as powerful as the Homedics, and it doesn't have the speed range or heat setting. HOWEVER - this is so much easier to use than the Homedics. My old one was very heavy and was not ergonomically designed for self massage of the back. This Prospera massager is curved so it reaches almost all of my back. It's much lighter weight so it's not out of the question to do this myself. It is strong enough to do the trick. It does get hot after about 15 minutes of use -- be sure to turn it off then. If you have recurring back issues, you may want to add this to your arsenal of massagers instead of it being your only massager. -- Not as powerful as the big Homedics... but easier to use.
infrared heating is weak and cannot be used at the same time as the massager. on top of that, after only two weeks, the damn thing broke. i was applying pressure to my hip b/c i have issues with ITBS, and the vibrating head sunk into the casing. unusuable. find another model -- Do Not buy this. broke two weeks after i got it.
I have a bad back and use massagers to keep the muscles loose. I had a big unit that I got from Brookstone and, after 10 years it finally died.
The new Brookstone model looks like a jackhammer and is way too big and heavy for self use so I looked for something lighter.
I ordered, received and used the Prospra Penguin Massager TWICE (self use on upper back muscles) and when I used it the third time, it wouldn't work! It made a noise but there was no vibration/massage action.
UNUSABLE AFTER ONLY USING IT TWICE!!! DON'T ORDER THIS. EVEN AT THE COMPARATIVELY LOW PRICE OF $40...IT'S NO GOOD IF IT DOESN'T WORK! -- DON'T ORDER THIS
